A Disney Detour (S&D)

In my dream, it was time for our dorm trip to Disneyland and everyone was running around frantically trying to get packed. I was feeling panicked, throwing everything within arm's reach into my seemingly bottomless suitcase and saying to myself every time I put in something that was particularly ridiculous (like a pom-pom, a raft, and a life-size cardboard cut-out of Oprah, "you never know."

Then my friend suddenly ran into the room freaking-out that she didn't have a Tigger costume so she wouldn't be able to participate in the parade. She told me I had to come get one with her or they wouldn't let us into Disneyland.

The next thing I remember is that we missed the bus going to Disneyland because we couldn't find a Tigger costume and so we had to hitchhike our way there, for some reason dressed as characters from the "Sound of Music." We were eventually picked up by the 7 Dwarves who were on their way back from Las Vegas and who somehow managed to convince us that we had to go back to Las Vegas with them since neither I, nor my friend, had ever been.

The last thing I remember is sitting at a spinning poker table in Vegas while "It's a Small World" played in the background and the dealer advised us to keep our hands, arm, feet, and legs inside the game at all times. Dopey, my friend, and I were counting cards "21"- style and raking in the winnings while Grumpy was saying that it should be of some consolation to us to know that no matter how much we won, we'd all always be losers in his eyes. After he said this, Grumpy's hand won and he got a huge smile on his face, jumped on the table, shouted "I'm goin' to Disneyland!," and dashed out the window. We all stared after him as Doc made a comment about how it was a shame Grumpy had no friends before shrugging, taking Grumpy's forgotten winnings, and going with us to the slots. We never did make it to Disneyland that night...

A Note On Visitor-Submitted Questions:

Publishing sleep stories and questions from our visitors is meant to create a forum for open and proactive dialogue about an extremely important portion of our lives (one that occupies 1/3 of it and affects the other 2/3) that isn't talked about enough. It is not meant to substitute a trip to the doctor or the advice of a specialist. It's good to talk; it is not good to avoid consulting someone who's profession it is to help you with this kind of stuff.

If you are in any way concerned about your sleep health, don't wait for an answer on here, and don't necessarily rely on them. See a sleep specialist in your area as soon as possible.
