Fighting Bulls (S&D)

by Karanveer

This is my new favorite dream. I was in my dorm at Stanford, the lounge looked exactly like how our lounge looks right now and the doors were positioned well too. There was a cow with horns that was trying to enter our dorm. We were outside and we somehow managed entering while the cow was still out. However, whenever we closed one of the doors to the lounge, the other one propped open. So basically all I did in this dream was run back and forth between the doors and close them before the cow could come in.

However, the cow was deceptively smart. When one of the doors opened and I rushed to close it, it didn’t go to that door but waited at the previous door that then opened and the cow had entered our dorm. I, along with a club rugby played in my dorm, held the cow’s horns and pushed it out of our dorm.

My hands were bleeding but everybody was celebrating. I went to the washroom to clean my hands and suddenly, I was in the bathroom of my own home. It was a small restroom but it somehow managed to fit some 10-20 people from my dorm. There were a few girls hitting on me (that never happens with me in my dorm in real life though) and I was pretending that fighting a cow was no big deal for me.

I think an event in the past might have resulted in this dream setting. When I was a kid, I was playing cricket with my friends and suddenly a calf came and started chewing the wickets. When we tried to take our wickets back, the calf’s mother started dashing toward us and we barely escaped. We had to wait for three hours before we could actually get our wickets back. None of my friends were hurt though.

A Note On Visitor-Submitted Questions:

Publishing sleep stories and questions from our visitors is meant to create a forum for open and proactive dialogue about an extremely important portion of our lives (one that occupies 1/3 of it and affects the other 2/3) that isn't talked about enough. It is not meant to substitute a trip to the doctor or the advice of a specialist. It's good to talk; it is not good to avoid consulting someone who's profession it is to help you with this kind of stuff.

If you are in any way concerned about your sleep health, don't wait for an answer on here, and don't necessarily rely on them. See a sleep specialist in your area as soon as possible.
