Horror Movie

I once had a dream that felt like it was straight out of a horror movie. I only remember bits and pieces, so bear with me. The setting was in this big elaborate mansion style house. For some reason the only room I end up in is one of the bedrooms. I'm with another person, but I can't exactly remember who. That person all of the sudden starts screaming and darts underneath the bed. I get the feeling that someone or something is after us and going to kill us, so I go under the bed as well. As soon as I did that, the bedroom door comes open and all I see is black shoes under some kind of skirt thing (picture the bottom of a scream costume).

After some time, the person who barged in the room starts to drag the person next to me out from under the bed. The whole time she is screaming and I can hear her being killed. After a while, the person leaves the room with the dead body on the floor. I take this moment as my escape. Somehow I end up outside in this elaborate looking court yard. In that courtyard is a parking lot full of cars. I open the door to a van and try to start the engine. Lucky for me the keys were inside. Once I cranked the engine on the lights inside the van come on. I start to freak out. I look all around me and the lights inside the other cars start to come on. I slowly turn around and there is a silhouette of a man in the back seat. I suddenly know my fate and wake up with a start and that is the end of my dream. It scared me to death.

A Note On Visitor-Submitted Questions:

Publishing sleep stories and questions from our visitors is meant to create a forum for open and proactive dialogue about an extremely important portion of our lives (one that occupies 1/3 of it and affects the other 2/3) that isn't talked about enough. It is not meant to substitute a trip to the doctor or the advice of a specialist. It's good to talk; it is not good to avoid consulting someone who's profession it is to help you with this kind of stuff.

If you are in any way concerned about your sleep health, don't wait for an answer on here, and don't necessarily rely on them. See a sleep specialist in your area as soon as possible.
