My Darker Hungrier Side - Acting Weird To My Boyfriend At Night And Not Remembering It

by Robin C.
(South Jersey)

I live with my boyfriend, I work in the evenings and he works at night. I always stay awake to see him but last night I went to sleep as soon as I got home from work. I woke up this morning to him telling me how I acted incredibly bad when he came home.

He said he came home and woke me up. He says that when I woke up I looked incredibly surprised, I then immediately started eating the pancakes I left from earlier that day. He says that I ate all of them with my hands and then demanded that he went out immediately to get me more. I was very upset when he refused.

Then he said that he tried to hold me and I started hitting him and acting very angry. He said that he was so mad at me that he started yelling back at me. And I just immediately went back to sleep.

Now is this considered sleep talking? I don't remember any of that
and it was not me. Me and my boyfriend have a fantastic relationship which is going really well. So I'm not sure why I would act so weird towards him even in my sleep.

A Note On Visitor-Submitted Questions:

Publishing sleep stories and questions from our visitors is meant to create a forum for open and proactive dialogue about an extremely important portion of our lives (one that occupies 1/3 of it and affects the other 2/3) that isn't talked about enough. It is not meant to substitute a trip to the doctor or the advice of a specialist. It's good to talk; it is not good to avoid consulting someone who's profession it is to help you with this kind of stuff.

If you are in any way concerned about your sleep health, don't wait for an answer on here, and don't necessarily rely on them. See a sleep specialist in your area as soon as possible.
