Where Am I Going To Live Next Year? (S&D)

by Anonymous

This is probably one of the most boring dreams I've ever had which is why I'm so interested by it because literally nothing exciting or out of the ordinary happens. I've been thinking a lot about where I want to live next year (which dorm/with who), which probably partly explains the dream.

The dream starts with me in a new dorm room that looks exactly like the one I currently have except that the entire room is painted bright blue. I'm sitting on my bed waiting for my best friend (who is supposed to be my roommate) to arrive. I keep commenting on how ugly the blue is and how I'm going to paint the room a lighter blue and hang green curtains and a pink crystal chandelier... My friend comes, we unpack everything from our suitcases, and go to dinner. Everything (the people we meet, the food we eat, the dorm lounge etc. ) is exactly the same as the year before. It's as if I'm a freshman all over again and am not going to see any new things.

"New" happens on the inside. NEW
by: Anonymous

The newness you will experience will be internal. In seeing that your outward circumstances will not change greatly and that this is not inspiring to you, look at internal changes for inspiration. You are becoming aware that the external world is sometimes not the place to look for change and growth.

A Note On Visitor-Submitted Questions:

Publishing sleep stories and questions from our visitors is meant to create a forum for open and proactive dialogue about an extremely important portion of our lives (one that occupies 1/3 of it and affects the other 2/3) that isn't talked about enough. It is not meant to substitute a trip to the doctor or the advice of a specialist. It's good to talk; it is not good to avoid consulting someone who's profession it is to help you with this kind of stuff.

If you are in any way concerned about your sleep health, don't wait for an answer on here, and don't necessarily rely on them. See a sleep specialist in your area as soon as possible.
