Wrestling With The Unseen - My Body Falling Asleep But My Mind 100% Awake

A story of sleep paralysis | Read more stories here

One Sunday afternoon on a bright beautiful day, I went in my bedroom to get some comfortable nap, all charged up and looking forward to a successful rest that day; little did I know that I was gonna be attacked.

Seriously, just right that moment I bring my body to my comfortable cushion for a nap, NOT even to shut my eyes yet, I felt something very heavy overshadow me, it's like if I was doze with some kind of knock out-chemical or something. That very moment my whole body just went weak on me, but my mind was still with me. I am 100% aware of whats happening but I just couldn't open my eyes or move freely like how I would willed/command my body to do. I was without strength/100% powerless in my body.

I remembered exactly how it happened, as soon as my body went powerless on me, the actions of strangling came in affect.. honestly, I fight back, and tried very hard with the strength I have left. It took me about half an hour or so but less than an hour to get release with the unseen attacker.. it takes a hit on the solid concrete wall for me to be release from it.

When I was a christian I called it the evil spirits, But I do not think that demons or evil spirits exist at all... no longer in my vocabulary since I take to mind about every single thing I personally experienced, to hunt for answers as life continues to move forward.. most of them has been resolved and still many more to be discovered in the near future..

A Note On Visitor-Submitted Questions:

Publishing sleep stories and questions from our visitors is meant to create a forum for open and proactive dialogue about an extremely important portion of our lives (one that occupies 1/3 of it and affects the other 2/3). It is not meant to substitute a trip to the doctor or the advice of a specialist. It's good to talk; it is not good to avoid consulting someone who's profession it is to help you with this kind of stuff.

If you are in any way concerned about your sleep health, don't wait for an answer on here, and don't necessarily rely on them. See a sleep specialist in your area as soon as possible.
